What is stud #1 fuse Silverado? ›

The 40amp fuse that is located in Stud #1 powers your 12 volt constant. When you have a fuse in there, it sends 12 volts to your plug by the receiver and in the bed (if you have that option) The 30amp fuse located in Stud #2 is what powers the brake controller harness for your brake controller to work.
